Born to Run: A game about doping from FEINHEIT GmbH
Born to Run is a game about doping
For Antidoping.ch, NADA Austria and NADA Germany we were approached to create a game which will promote fairness and avareness to the subject of doping in competitive sports.
Instead of making a game about the simple message of "doping is bad for your and unfair" I wanted to make something risky: How about a gme where doping gives you a serious advantage, like a powerup, but its use is forbidden, dangerous, unfair and will be punished severely? Welcome to Born to Run.
We are twenty years in the future. Roof Running has become the most watched competitive sport there is. you are a new runner in the Born to Run Championship, the league of the International roof running league IRRL. The game is an endless runner where every player gets the same track for a week. The best score of the week is tracked for each player on the IRRL website.
The catch is, that during the game there are four illegal substances you can take during your run: Amphetamine, Anabolica, EPO and Narcotica all give you superpowers in their stat category and a serious advantage over other players. However, they not only make your stats suffer, should you get caught you will be banned, put on a wall of shame and the game locks itself for 5 days.
So, do you think the guys that have better results played fair? Will you play fair?
Born to Run is available in Switzerland, Austria and Germany in the App Store
